Skye was rescued last summer along with his brother, Shay after being abandoned in Seaside. During their ordeal, Skye developed kidney disease, and Shay contracted FIV. After several months of TLC with River Song Foundation, Shay went to a special rescue in the Portland area, and Skye was accepted to Best Friends Sanctuary in Utah. No easy task that.
Even better, a Best Friends volunteer that was delivering Utah rescues to the very same shelter that Shay went to, was able to pick up Skye and deliver him personally to the famous Utah rescue.
River Song Foundation is honored to have had this special cat accepted to Best Friends, and we thank them for all their help and care. We know Skye will have the best chance ever for recovering and finding his forever person.
